2024 had been an amazing year for Dancing Elephants Press. We had many wonderful collaborations on multiple platforms including Medium, Substack, YouTube, and with other publications like Tiny Tales Press and Illumination. We have published amazing books together, Intelligence AI vs HI, written magical magazines, and many wonderful individual articles. We had a series on Artificial Intelligence, Poverty, Character Traits, Relationships, Parenting, Empowerment, and Global Citizenship. We featured many amazing guest writers in the publication. We explored various topics from love to relationships to what makes us a good human being. I hope you have enjoyed our conversations.
In 2025 we plan to continue with many wonderful collaborations and projects together. Currently, our new book about Poverty is in the final editing and review process before publishing. This book grew out of articles we begin publishing here on substack. Then we added more content and more writers to the book to create a global storytelling magic at hand.
Thank you to all the wonderful editors and writers and of course to our readers, and subscribers for being here with us this past year and for your continued support.

- The PossibilistWow, that was fast. Wasn’t it yesterday we were saying how great 2024 would be? Remember all the things we wanted to do? How about those promises made to yourself and others? Crazy, right?
One of the advantages of someone in my position (older) is that you can look back over time. More than three-quarters of a decade. I was so engrossed in my fifties I didn’t even realize that my sixties had arrived, and then life changed [again]. There was barely a minute in my sixties when I wasn’t running and gunnin’ as they say.
Planning
Now that we’ve established that time moves much faster, perhaps it is time to start planning better. Want more time? Plan better.
You still have a few days left to reflect back on what you wanted vs. what you received. What you hoped vs. what you did. And those relationships that need to be shored up or mended. They mean everything. Take this time to plan:
Set goals and priorities, dare to dream, make commitments, and this time, set out a map towards accomplishment.
No One Can Tell You How To Live Your Life
But you. So, if you want a better life, get to planning. I know you can do it.
I hope 2025 is the best year of your life thus far.
Sailing into 2025: Releasing, Growing, and Nurturing What Matters
By:
As we approach the end of 2024, does your year resemble an elegantly wrapped gift — neatly tied with a bow — or does it feel more like a wrinkled, torn package that barely survived the journey? However your year unfolded, now is the time to let it go. Letting go isn’t always easy, but as Mel Robbins wisely says, “The more you allow people to live their lives, the better your life will get. The more control you give up, the more you gain.” As 2024 winds down, I remind myself to loosen my grip and trust the process.
As I prepare to step into 2025, I envision the year I desire — each detail vivid and full of promise. Visualization isn’t just daydreaming; it’s a tool for manifesting abundance. By releasing the disappointments and pains of 2024, I create space for new opportunities to flourish.
Embrace the “let-it” theory, and life feels lighter. Your boyfriend leaves — let him. Your boss is upset — let them. Writer’s block strikes — let it be. As long as you live with integrity and do your best each day, that’s enough.
No year is without its storms, but smooth seas rarely shape strong sailors. Growth often lies in the challenges we face — not just within ourselves but in the relationships that shape our lives. The hardest conversations can deepen bonds, and the moments of distance can teach us to cherish connection. Love, in all its forms, asks us to show up fully, even when it’s uncomfortable.
As we craft a vision for 2025, may we nurture the relationships that bring light to our days and release those that dim our spirits. By taking small, intentional steps toward understanding, forgiveness, and vulnerability, we can steer the year toward greater joy and stronger connections.
May 2025 bring you contentment, health, prosperity, love, passion, and peace. 💕
Into the Unknown: Navigating Parenthood with Intention
By:

Over the years, I’ve tried many ways to have more control over events and sharing responsibilities in our family of five. This year, especially, was an important one for becoming aware and making some changes in our family life. It all leads to planning because it is both a necessity and a challenge.
I thought of sharing with you a realistic perspective on planning and intentional living. My goal is to always prioritize mental health and self-care because I learned in 2024 that I need to prioritize self-care more than before.
The Reality of Planning
Planning with young children can often feel like a juggling act, and I’ve struggled many times alone but also together as a couple.
Here are some truths about our planning process in our family:
Expect the Unexpected: No matter how well you plan, there will always be surprises. Life is like that too. A child might fall ill, a school event might pop up, or a work emergency might derail your carefully crafted schedule. Always be prepared for the unknown. And here Elsa’s song comes to mind, “Into the Unknown”.
Flexibility is Key: While routines are important, we should always be ready to adapt if needed. Wait, it is crucial. Some days, you might need to abandon your plans and go with the flow completely. I have learned to go with the flow more than before, though it took me some time and three kids to reach this level.
Perfection is a Myth: Please remember that not everything will go according to plan when you have small kids, and that's okay. Striving for perfection can lead to unnecessary stress and guilt.
Intentional Planning Strategies
A few years ago, I took a course on Life Design and learned the concept of Intentional planning. This changed my life, and this year, I was finally ready to apply it.
This type of planning can help create a more balanced and fulfilling family life. It’s about prioritizing tasks; perhaps one could implement a family calendar or even use time blocking. This last one helps me stay focused and make the most of my time. I also make sure to set aside dedicated blocks for family activities. Which planning strategies have you successfully used this year?
Preserving Mental Health and Self-Care
Still, I’ve learned it the hard way and realized that while I like to have an overview and a set of intentions for my days, weeks, months, and year, I also get overwhelmed by too much in general. So, it’s good to be aware that while planning is important, it shouldn't come at the cost of your well-being.
What helped me in the past years are the following:
schedule self-care,
learn to say No,
embrace imperfection, and
to know when, who and how to ask for help (maybe the biggest and most important one)
This last one is not a sign of weakness, but a smart way to manage your time and energy.
So if you’re in a similar boat, and this resonates, try planning with intention and flexibility for the new year while also prioritizing self-care. This way, you can create a more balanced and fulfilling life for both you and your children.
Ultimately, the goal isn't perfection but rather creating a nurturing environment where everyone, including you, can thrive. I have a lot to improve in my yearly intentional planning system. Actually, it is not a system per se, and that’s ok.
In 2024, I learned that even systems need to adapt and change from year to year because we also change.
I wish you the best in the New Year and thank you for reading!
