Worried About Your Child’s Development? Could AI Have the Answers?
Explore how new AI tools could be a lifeline for worried parents

As a mother, it’s hard to watch friends struggle with their children's development. I remember when my friend Anikó first shared her worries about her daughter, Zoé. At two years old, when they moved into our building, Zoé wasn’t speaking much. I told Anikó that every child develops at their own pace, but the whole time she had a feeling that something was not ok.
Anikó’s worries intensified when she noticed that Zoé often seemed lost in her own world. But which child doesn’t? Ok, she knew her daughter better and she could observe her closely. That helped for sure. Zoé preferred to play alone rather than engage with other children. So Anikó started organizing playdates for her. Zoé seemed happy about it until she was shutting off suddenly for some mysterious reason for hours at end.
After countless visits to pediatricians and specialists, Anikó only felt frustrated and overwhelmed. She was a single mom, with a deep psychological trauma of her own, due to her husband cheating on her and divorcing when Zoé was only 2 months old. She wondered if she was the one to blame for Zoé’s behavior, had she ruined the child? Or was the dad to blame?
