Food Has Become A Healer For Many Of Us
With almost no access to AI help in better health care many of us use Food and awareness to heal.

I, too, am forgetting. My father died at 89, and he had Alzheimer’s disease. I am aware that it’s inherited, and I am praying that I don’t get it.
Experiencing Menopause, I think it’s brain fog because my symptoms are the same as Emma’s, who is only forty-five years old. How can a brain so young have Alzheimer’s disease?
Reading this, I am worried because I am older than Emma.
I am grateful for AI’s help in saving our lives and helping us live healthier, better lives. It’s too bad it’s not available in my country, and even if it is, it’s out of the reach of most Jamaicans.
Health care isn’t good here as many professionals lack proper skills and a caring heart. A love for humanity should be required for anyone in health care. Many go into it here because of the prestige and ass-kissing accompanying it.
Yes, many in the healthcare field here lack a caring heart. The poor hospitals don’t treat the sick with humanity. Most Jamaicans don’t go to the doctor until their cures and home remedies stop working.
This knowledge gives me the power to prioritize my health. I don’t eat out. I learn to cook all of the foods I enjoy. I educate myself on the foods I grew up on and enjoy. What I get from them, and what they do to my body, mind, feelings, and mood.
We in Jamaica say Food is the Staff of Life. Food had become our healer. AI health care isn’t here yet. We are not prepared for this kind of technology yet.
It would be nice if humanity could benefit from the best health care, whether they can afford it or not. But Our world isn’t made up this way.
Here’s where AI comes in. In Emma’s case, this was early detection possible with AI. The doctors used a special kind of AI to look at Emma's brain scans. This AI had been trained to spot tiny changes in the brain that might indicate Alzheimer’s disease. Because of this early detection, Emma's doctors could start her on treatments that would slow down the disease. Gabriela Trofin-Tatár and Dr. Gabriella Kőrös
Meanwhile, I encourage everyone to be aware of their actions, choices, and decisions that control their daily activities and lives. Awareness can and will save our lives. The same goes for early detection.
