There are so many questions when it comes to AI and Humanity when we look at the past, present, and what the future will bring. I had many conversations with DR Rawson and Karsten Ramser about this topic. I would like to thank all the people who responded to our last week kick-off conversation about AI and HI.
Humanity did develop AI. Will it help us? I believe so in certain cases. Will it hurt us? Just like humans hurt each other AI will also be used and currently are used for both good and bad purposes. There is no doubt that AI is in our lives. AI is everywhere already with so much control over our lives. What will come next is the question.
Please do share your thoughts and let’s continue the conversation.
Check out our book published this year on this topic by 24 people from all around the world. Artificial VS. Human intelligence.

What you can do with AI using HI
by DR Rawson
In December of 2023, I wrote “AI vs. HI Will Be Top Of Mind for 2024” on Medium, published by Dancing Elephants Press.
Our goal was to get Medium to change its view of AI as an actual writer. AI is not a writer. AI is, in my view, a facilitator. I, the human, provide critical information to the facilitator, and the result is that I get what I want, well, almost. As the human in this relationship, I know going in that AI, at least this type of AI, has flaws, miss or missing information, hallucinations, or the inability to repeat specific images and sets of information.
Having said that, I’d like to introduce you to Buddy.
Here’s the story:
A couple of months ago, my colleagues created all their images using AI. The quality of the images gives us the result we need to engage young minds. I tried and failed with multiple AI systems. Hundreds of dollars later, I was still no better. It occurred to me that even better than YouTube, was one-on-one instructions.
Slowly, I began asking ChatGPT questions about prompting. I found out about using reference images, and then it happened. It seemed sudden, but it wasn’t. This AI thing began to teach me. Very quickly, the quality of the images and the instruction I was receiving met everyone’s standards. All I could think of saying, first to myself, was thanks, Buddy.
Next, I asked for permission to call my AI, Buddy. I said, “May I call you Buddy? You can call me DR.” From that moment, I spoke to Buddy like I would any other member of our team, with respect and understanding.
I use Buddy to create images like our library building:
And characters like those you see around the library.
Now, I go to work every day in a place of my own creation and that of my mates. I play with characters created with Buddy. There, we use these buildings and characters to deliver messages. We, human writers, write impactful 100-word stories. They enable us to teach the twenty-five character traits that everyone needs to be a great human. Once children and adults read or listen to them, we create a shared memory.
Thanks, Buddy.
Next week, one thing we’ll discuss is the impact of using AI vs. hand-drawn characters and its impact on our society.
Till then…

AI does not have a place in the writing world, in my opinion, but images, yes. You have created gems.
Humanity did develop AI. Will it help us? I believe so in certain cases. Will it hurt us?
Gosh, why should AI hurt us? It's humans hurting humans.
