In honor of all the veterans I know and all the veterans I do not. In honor of all active duty military and all of those whom are here and all of those who have passed on.
I am grateful for all my amazing veteran friends, family, co-workers, patients that I know and all of you whom I do not know yet. I want you to know you are in my heart and you are in my thought.
On Veterans Day
One day is not enough to say,
I am grateful for you every single day.
Simple things come to play,
I see you my dear friends today.
I just want to say,
I am thankful for more than a day.
I can see the pain and feel the hurt,
I see you my friend today and every day.
Day and Night you stayed awake,
Training after Training you prevailed.
You did what I could not,
Thank you for making the choice
To be there when I am not.
Hours come and hours go,
Not enough time to forget the sorrow,
Not enough time to see the unseen,
Not enough time to say forget where you have been.
Adjustment from order coming back home,
Not an easy task for any soldier
And I say: Welcome Home.
I am just grateful you are here.
You have returned while many could not.
You coming home brings a lot of hope.
Today and every day,
I am grateful for you.
Some don't understand
And I surely do.
I have seen so many
Wonderful people,
Coming home and feel
Out of place.
I want you to know,
No matter what.
Today, is your day
With every next day.
Welcome home Soldier.
Welcome home my Friend.
Welcome home Brother.
Welcome home Sister.
Welcome home my Love.
Welcome home Father.
Welcome home Mother.
Welcome home Everyone.
And if you could not come,
Your spirit is always Welcome.
No matter what,
No matter Where,
You are always here.
Embedded in our hearts.
Forever in our souls.
Welcome home today and the next day.
Welcome home any given day.
It is an honor to be part of your day.
